A convergence of two of the most diverse and widely celebrated and recognised art forms will be showcased in the coming week at the Mumbai-based designer boutique ufffd Vaya.

North meets South in the West

Contemporary arts including Ikat from Andhra Pradesh will be housed under the same roof as heritage arts of Pashmina and Kani from Kashmir.

The exhibition will see two designer brands hosting their respective collections for Mumbaikars. Divine Fabric from Kashmir and Translate from Andhra Pradesh will display an array of hand-woven textiles and garments.

While Translate will exhibit a variety of Ikat inspired drapes, dresses, variations in stoles, scarves, dupattas and an exquisite range in handcrafted silk and cotton sarees; Divine Fabric will present a variety of light-weight, off the loom Kashmir Pashmina stoles, exquisite zari, kani woven and embroidered shawls.

So, head to the exhibition to see the rich confluence of our diverse cultural palette.
