The stray in your neighbourhood isn't the luckiest on the street. Ask members of NGO Welfare of Stray Dogs who work tirelessly to ensure that Mumbai's strays are in safe hands and that the general public stays aware and educated about these oft-misunderstood canines.
Wednesday, April 4, 2012 is observed as World Street Animals Day. To take this noble cause a step further, the folks at WSD have organised an awareness drive about street dogs as well as a rabies awareness drive at Churchgate station from 9 am to 6 pm. u00a0
The drive would entail FAQ’s about issues related to street dogs and valuable information, and myths about rabies through posters (English, Marathi). Apart from these intiatives, the public can interact with WSD personnel and vets who will be present at the venue.u00a0
