Devendra Bishoo trapped Sachin Tendulkar leg-before at Feroz Shah Kotla yesterday to deny the master batsman his 100th international century. Bishoo is not the first instance of a young spinner travelling to India and dismissing Tendulkar on their very first outing (maiden Test in India).

Here are other instances.

Jeetan Patel (Ahmedabad Test, 2010-11):  Got Tendulkar caught-and-bowled in the first innings.

Marcus North (Mohali Test, 2010-11): Part-time left-arm spinner trapped Tendulkar lbw for 98 in the first innings.

Monty Panesar (Test debut -- Nagpur, 2005-06): Trapped Tendulkar leg-before for his first wicket in Test cricket.

Nathan Hauritz (Test debut -- Mumbai, 2004-05): The off-spinner had Tendulkar caught at point by Michael Clarke in the second innings. He finished with a haul of 5-103 on Test debut.

Ray Price (Nagpur Test, 2001-02): Had Tendulkar caught behind. However, the master scored 176.

Brian Murphy (Delhi Test, 2000-01): The leg-spinner has Tendulkar caught in the deep for 122.

Saqlan Mushtaq (Chennai Test, 1998-99):  Off-spinner removed Tendulkar both times in his very first Test appearance in India.

Shane Warne (Chennai Test, 1997-98): Had Tendulkar caught at first slip for just four in his first outing. However, couldn't repeat the feat later in the series.

Pat Symcox (first Test in India -- Ahmedabad, 1996-97): Had Tendulkar caught at point in his first Test outing in India. This was also South Africa's first Test in India.

Peter McIntyre (Delhi Test, 1996-97): The strapping leg-spinner had Tendulkar caught at slip in his first and only Test in India.

Ranjith Madurasinghe (Mohali Test, 1990-91): The off-spinner had Tendulkar out leg-before in the first innings. He played only three Tests for Sri Lanka.

Ujesh Ranchod (only Test for Zimbabwe -- Delhi, 1992-93): This off-spinner finished with only one wicket from one Test - that of Tendulkar.

Don Anurasiri (Lucknow Test, 1993-94): The left-arm spinner dismissed Tendulkar twice during Sri Lanka's tour here. The first came during first Test.
