NRI children back home from Norway

Abhigyan and Aishwarya Bhattacharya, who were under foster care in Norway for almost a year, finally return to India.


The two NRI children who were taken into the custody of Norwegian Child Welfare Services on grounds of alleged negligence by their parents returned to India.
In a major breather for the Bhattacharya family, a Norwegian court decided to hand over the custody of two children, put under foster care due to troubles between their parents, to their uncle Arunabhas Bhattacharya.

Minister of State for External Affairs Preneet Kaur was at the airport here to welcome three-year-old Abhigyan and one-year-old Aishwarya along with their grandparents. 
The children were accompanied by their Norwegian caregivers. 
Abhigyan and Aishwarya, children of Anurup and Sagarika Bhattacharya, had been taken under protective care in May last year.
