Hairstylist Adhuna Akthar has worked her magic on several Bollywood stars including Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akthar, Aamir Khan and Katrina Kaif and runs the salon b:blunt. The city recently saw the launch of her luxury salon b:blunt mini @Nirvana. Excerpts from an interview with Akhtar:

Experimenting with looks
The trend is to be eccentric in style these days. Unlike in the 1940s and 1960s when there was a fixed styling for most occasions, today we try out different looks for different occasions. But before adopting any style, it should be considered whether it suits the individual or not. Someone might look good in a particular look but that may not go with another individual’s face-cut.
The styling cycle
What we have been seeing in fashion also stands true for hairstyles. What grows old comes back again. Hence, many times we see poker straight styles and colour- streaks coming back after a while. Also, when it comes to variations in your looks, its not only about cutting them in a different manner but a little change of hair colour can completely change your overall appearance as well. So, instead of copying any particular style from a magazine or of an actress, go to an expert who can explain you what looks better on you.
B:blunt is my baby
