First, a photograph of Pistorius' blood-stained prosthetic legs covered with white socks and Steenkamp's blood stains was shown by lawyer Barry Roux to emphasised that the Paralympian shot the model by mistake on Feb 14 last year mistaking her to be an intruder and then broke through a locked toilet door to try to help her.
Later, prosecutors displayed a sequence of photos showing a series of blood stains found on the floor, walls, stairs and chairs Pistorius' palatial home. In one photograph, blood stains are seen right next to the multiple Paralympic champ's series of trophies.
Such was the bloody scene on display in court yesterday that when a picture of the dead Steenkamp's body was accidentally flashed on the court's screen, Pistorius vomitted almost instantaneously. He began coughing and was immediately handed a green bucket in which to let it out.
