Besides a housing project, it's his dream studio project, which may take off in the city, added sources close to the designer.
"Unlike other studios, a studio equipped with the latest technology will add greatly to the process of filmmaking," said Vijay Kumar, one of Pookutty's aides.
The studio, besides having advanced technology in sound designing and editing, will also cater to filmmakers with pre and post production, added sources.
Though he confirmed it, Pookutty didn't reveal any details. "Yes, I have plans to come up with a state of art studio," said Pookutty. "That's all I can say for now.
Details on the place and plans on the making of studio will be made public once the process kicks off formally."
An honour
The state government on the other hand terms it to be an honour and will welcome Pookutty if he plans such initiatives in the city.
"It is an honour," said Girish Mattannavar, chairman, Kanteerava Studios. "Having a studio by him is an honour to the state. We will support him in all possible ways, if that happens."
Housing project
Earlier, Pookutty had said that he would take up interior designing for a noble cause.
Plush houses designed by the sound designer will be put on auction and the money generated from the same will then be used to develop a free housing project for the poor.
