England pace spearhead James Anderson sounded pretty happy with the way things have gone for them, but stressed that their bowlers will have to chip in.
“We had a pretty good workout. I think we got what we needed to get out of the game. Now, our bowlers will have to chip in if we want to win the Test series,” he said after the match yesterday.

The paceman showered praise on skipper Alastair Cook (119) and all-rounder Samit (104) for their century knocks. “Cook was very determined and led by example. Samit was outstanding… he was calm and controlled,” Anderson said.
Anderson, who has toured India twice before (in 2006 and 2008), wasn’t perturbed by Steven Finn’s injury. Finn suffered a right thigh strain on the opening day of the game. “It’s unfortunate, but injuries do happen. They also give others a chance to play,” he said.u00a0
