India's Leander Paes and his Czech partner Radek Stepanek won their first Grand Slam together beating top seeds Mike and Bob Bryan in the men's doubles event at the Australian Open here Saturday
The Indo-Czech pair took an hour and 20 minutes to finish off their American opponents 7-6(7-1), 6-2.

Paes who had previously won six Grand Slam men's doubles title, won his maiden Australian Open men's doubles title, the only Slam that was missing in his career.
Paes has also won six mixed doubles titles and is in line to win his 7th Grand Slam if he and his Russian partner Elena Vesnina manage to beat American Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Horia Tecau of Romania in the mixed doubles final on Sunday in Melbourne.
