Maharashtra batsman Vijay Zol's unbeaten 109 went in vain as India colts fell short by one run against arch-rivals Pakistan in an Under-19 Asia Cup thriller here yesterday

Chasing a formidable target of 288, Indians finished on 286 for seven with Zol almost taking India close to victory. Unmukt Chand (49), Akshdeep Nath (42 off 28 balls) and Rush Kalaria (30 off 16 balls) were other notable contributors.

Needing 17 off the last, Indians almost pulled it off hitting a six and couple of boundaries. But in the end, when two was required off the final delivery, Mohsin Sayyed failed to do so with left stranded at the other end.
