Nashik: A 58-year-old partially paralytic man whose foot got trapped in toilet pot at a civil hospital in Nashik was rescued on Sunday, nearly 15 hours after the mishap.

The incident occurred on Saturday night when Samadhan Wankhede, undergoing treatment for stroke that affected his right side of body in ward number 19, went to toilet and fell after losing his balance, trapping his foot in the pot.

As the hospital staff could not rescue him, Fire personnel were alerted who freed him at 11 am.

Civil Surgeon Dr Suresh Jagdale said action will be taken against the hospital employees concerned, if found guilty in inquiry.
