Los Angeles: Hollywood veteran Patrick Stewart has struck a new chord with a foster pitbull called Ginger and shared videos of their budding friendship.

The 76-year-old legend took to Instagram where he posted some clips of this newest member in his family.

In one of the videos, "Logan" star can be seen standing in a swimming pool while the dog licked him right from his bald head to his back.

Stewart laughingly said while floating in the water, "You pushed me in the pool, Ginger."

He captioned this video as, "The swimming lesson that wasn't. Our foster pibble Ginger is perfect afternoon company.

In the next clip, Stewart kissed Ginger while tucking her into bed with a message along side the post, "From what I understand rules and consistency are everything as a foster dog parent. #GingerGurl @ASPCA @WagsandWalks #AdoptDontShop #pitbull #pitbullsofinstagram."

Through another video, the actor again emphasised on the idea of adopting dogs than buying them from a shop.
