Kirstie Alley has revealed that she and Patrick Swayze began an intense emotional relationship while filming their 1985 miniseries 'North and South,' even though both of them were married at the time.
The 61-year-old actress admitted that sparks flew between her and Swayze almost immediately.u00a0Though they tried their best to keep from “going down that road,” ultimately their connection proved too strong -- and they both fell in love.
“Both of us were married,” Us magazine quoted her as telling Entertainment Tonight’s Chris Jacobs, clarifying that the pair technically did not “have an affair.”

“But again, I think what we did was worse.u00a0“Because I think when you fall in love with someone when you’re married, you jeopardize your own marriage and their marriage. It’s doubly bad,” she added.
Alley said that she is still friends with Swayze’s wife, Lisa Niemi, but is not sure if she knows about her hubby’s relationship with her.u00a0
