The Jaipur team began attacking from the start, taking a 13-8 lead. But thanks to Mumbai team captain Anup Kumar's aggressive tactics the lead was reduced to 11-15.

However, their sharp raiding and commanding defence, Jaipur ensured a 17-14 lead at the halfway stage.

Jaipur raider Maninder Singh then stole the show as he earned his team seven points to help them win 35-24. The Jaipur franchise were awarded the winner's prize purse of Rs 50 lakh, while the Mumbai team were richer by Rs 25 lakh.

Later, Singh was adjudged the best raider, while U Mumbai's Prashant Chavan was named best defender. Jaipur captain Navneet Gautam credited his team for the win.

"We has worked very closely. We were a united bunch and that's the reason we won today. This win wouldn't have been possible without the prayers of Abhishek, Amitabh and Aishwarya bhabhi."

Meanwhile, in the third-place match Patna Pirates defeated Bengaluru Bulls 29-22. U Mumba skipper Anup Kumar was named the most valuable player of the tournament and awarded a Mahindra Thar car.
