A public interest litigation seeking a probe into the purportedly illegal Haryana land deals of Robert Vadra, son-in-law of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, was dismissed Monday by the Allahabad High Court

Plea against Robert Vadra dismissed

The Lucknow bench of Chief Justice Shiva Kirti Singh and Justice D.K. Upadhyaya rejected city-based social activist Nutan Thakur's petition saying that since the matter had already been dismissed by the court earlier, it could not be heard again.u00a0

The court also said the petitioner could not explain her link to the matter.

Thakur, sought an inquiry into the allegations made against Vadra's land deals by Haryana Indian Administrative Service officer Ashok Khemka.

Thakur wanted a probe into allegations made against Vadra over the issue by activist-turned-politician Arvind Kejriwal and lawyer Prashant Bhushan.

There was a visible case of a quid pro quo between Vadra and the Haryana government in the land deals and that needed a probe in detail, the petitioner said.

Thakur claimed that she earlier sent a representation to the prime minister's office Oct 9, 2012 seeking an enquiry into the matter but nothing happened.u00a0
