Officials of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) have taken action against the Sinhagad Institute on Sinhagad Road over evasion of property tax for a long period.

PMC officials locked the institute laboratory, library and swimming pool. "We shall not unlock these places unless the institute pays the taxes in the next 10 days," said a junior officer from the PMC tax department.
Officials said the pending property tax amount came to Rs 3 crore.
