PMC to enforce Local Body Tax from April 1

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has received a written order from the State Urban Development Department to commence collecting Local Body Tax (LBT) instead of present Octroi tax.

The order was sent to PMC Commissioner Mahesh Pathak's office on Monday evening. Sources from the commissioner’s office said, “The orders have been sent to all the municipal corporations across the state.”

Pathak has earlier informed that the PMC is ready to enforce LBT, and has even organiaed an in-house training started for the employees.u00a0
