The two-hour series, We Buy Oil, divided into five episodes, is about buying oil from the well, its price, how it changed the world getting into everything — there is oil in phone, clothes, food as well as medicines — and mulling over a world without it. The subject compelled the speakers to take a trip to Kansas to buy oil and then, sell it to a middleman.
The duo enlightens listeners by sharing their experience in a refinery where the oil could become gasoline, diesel or a fertilizer. In short, the sequence of the digital story is tracking oil’s birth to its utility across spheres. “This project was cursed from the beginning because everyone said they are not going to sell oil to us before a man from Kansas agreed,” they say.
