Nashik: National women's doubles badminton champion Pradnya Gadre tied the knot with fellow shuttler Pranaav Jerry Chopra at Express Inn hotel here yesterday.

Gadre is the current national doubles champion with Sikki Reddy. She was also part of the Indian women's team which won the bronze medal at the Uber Cup in 2014. Pranaav on the other hand, won two international Grand Prix mixed doubles titles this year, partnering Reddy. The pair reached a career-best world ranking of 18.

Arun Vishnu, Arundhati Pantavane, Sameer Varma, Akshay Devalkar, Saurabh Varma, sports psychologist Bhishmaraj Bam, sports psychologist to the Indian badminton team Mridu Sharma and Gopichand Academy's head coach Rajendrakumar were among those who attended the marriage.
