The Mulund police arrested a 61-year-old priest for allegedly molesting a teenage disciple
The incident occurred last afternoon, when the 16-year- old disciple, a resident of Chembur, had gone to meet Manohar Pranlal Desai to seek his blessings, as she was suffering from depression.
According to the police, the victim alleged that on the pretext of giving his blessings, Desai took her to a hall and molested her.

He then threatened her of dire consequences if she told anybody about the incident. The police have arrested Desai and have registered a case under Sections 354, 506 (II) and 323 of the IPC.
DCP Sanjay Shintre (Zone VII) confirmed that they have arrested the priest on the charges of molestation.u00a0
