On the sidelines of the announcement of Abhishek Bachchan becoming the seventh franchise owner in the Pro Kabaddi League, league promoter Charu Sharma shed light on other franchise owners as well.

On the sidelines of the announcement of Abhishek Bachchan becoming the seventh franchise owner in the Pro Kabaddi League, league promoter Charu Sharma shed light on other franchise owners as well.


Ronnie Screwvala (Mumbai), Future Group's Kishore Biyani (Kolkata), Kotak Mahindra Bank's Uday Kotak (Pune), Yes Bank MD and CEO Rana Kapoor (Delhi), Core Green Group (Vizag), Kalapathi Investments (Chennai) are confirmed franchise owners while owner of the Bangalore franchise will be announced later.


The player auction would be held between June 7 and 10. Each team would have a budget of Rs 75 lakhs with players divided into categories A, B and C by the kabaddi federation.

Four players in category A, five in category B and three in category C with base price for each being 5 lakhs, 2.5 lakhs and 1.25 lakhs respectively.
