Looks like Neil Nitin Mukesh’s upcoming film Dussehra may be stuck for quite a while now. Producer Aparna Hoshing has filed an FIR against the film’s director Manish Vatsalya at Samta Nagar police station, Kandivali, and Manish is being shown the door for his allegedly unprofessional behaviour.

Insiders say the differences between the producer and the director began owing to Manish’s apparently arrogant and wayward ways on the sets. Says Hoshing, “While casting for my film, I had heard horror stories about Manish misbehaving with women but I let it pass.

He would turn up late on the sets and even entertained lady friends in his room, which delayed him further. I incurred heavy loses owing to the delays and learnt of him even accepting bribes on the sets. I had no option but to let him go.”

The producer further alleges that Manish’s delay forced her 65-day shoot to spill over to 80 days. Hoshing along with the film’s associate director Tarun Bisht and writer Saurabh Choudhary apparently even received threat calls that prompted her to file a complaint.

In his defence, Manish says, “The case rests with the Indian Film and Television Directors’ Association and everything is sorted.” However, the president of the association, Ashoke Pandit says, “We do not get involved in personal issues. Our sole intention is that the film does not suffer and gets a proper release. Both parties have now agreed to finish the film.”u00a0
