What are your plans to improve city's traffic problems?
I would request the public to maintain discipline while following traffic rules. Many people indulge in talking on mobile phones while driving, drinking and driving, drive dangerously, jump signals, overspeeding and so on. I would like to bring awareness especially among youngsters. Following traffic rules should come within the public.

Which is your favourite posting so far?
All my postings have been good with different experiences. Davangere was very good because it is a sensitive place. When I took charge, a farmers' agitation was going on. We handled it very carefully and efficiently. With regard to Belgaum, it was a challenging job as even here were so many problems like language and border issues. Apart from this, every time there used to be floods which we handled very well without any loss of life.

Share some of your experience with the readers in terms of best cases.
I was quite happy and satisfied when the Belgaum Parliamentary elections went off peacefully. That was a major experience for me. Belgaum police seized silver worth Rs 87 lakh that was illegally transported from Kolhapur to Salem in Tamil Nadu.

When are you going to take charge?
Maybe in a few days. I will have to first handover my charge in Belgaum.
