Woman boxing champion Mary Kom talked to CS about her parents at a recent event

She says, “When I told my father about my passion for boxing, he wasn’t very supportive. And I can understand why. If my children want to go for the profession of boxing, even I won’t allow them. It’s a difficult profession. No matter whether you win or lose, you always get punched.
My mother, however, was very excited. But this is the first time she is coming to watch me perform at the London Olympics 2012.”
