20-year-old Pinak Nitin Naik, a second year architecture from Satish Misal Educational Foundation’s (SMEF’s) Brick School of Architecture, entered the Guiness Book of World Records a second time with his tribute to Charles Correa. He made the world’s largest recycle cardboard box Pyramid of the late renounced and legendary architect, which measures size 3.24 meters by 4.50 meters
Pune based 20-year-old architecture student geared up to get his second record by making a mask of renowned architect Charles Correa in order to give him tribute and finally in late evening his worked was paved off as he make its own Guinness world records at his college campus made his Guinness world record on Monday. He made the world’s largest recycle cardboard box Pyramid of the late renounced and legendary architect, which measures size 3.24 meters by 4.50 meters.

At present in college there is a Zonal NASA convention hosted by students named “Transverse", in which more than 800 architecture students from 20 architecture colleges in Maharashtra are attending between October 22 till October 24. This is not the first time that Pinak has created his world record in the Guinness Book. In April he had built up a cardboard box pyramid with the theme "Save Energy Save the Planet".
Pinak said, “I am passionate about Charles Correa, who was a miracle brain and mind in artitecture. He is no more with us today. In order to show gratitude to his work and keep him alive this concept came to my mind. I believe in recycle and sustainable construction which can lead to greenery and maintain our ecosystem. So I used recycled cardboards and eco-friendly colours which can last long. The cost of such goods would be around few thousands but for record informing the jury members and planting cameras and other equiptment the cost turned around Rs 2 lakh. Which was taken care by my college.”
He went on, “for last six month I was gearing up on this and finally our college fest is going on and in order to create awareness on eco-friendly usage I picked up this task on Monday and from 9 am I began my work and by 5.30 pm I finished it. I am happy that my friends and professors help me lot in my dream come true.”
Pinak’s father Nitin said, “I am proud of my son and his hard work.”
Pooja Misal director of SMEF’s Brick Group of Institutes said, “Pinak approached us for pursuing his dream of creating this innovation. Its pleasure on our behalf that we could take up this task and look into his financial aspect. We just want that our students should come up with such innovations and that their dream turns to reality. Money must not hamper it."
