The University of Pune (UoP) has postponed the exams for MCom, MCA and MCom (E-Commerce) course exams scheduled for May 24, after it was learnt that dates for the abovementioned would clash with Chartered Accountant (CA) exam.

“A total of 3,000 students studying in UoP affiliated colleges have registered for the CA exam. Along with these students, the CA institute also requested varsity to postpone the papers dated on May 24.

Today, we took the decision and postponed three MCom and MCA papers,” UoP Controller of Examinations Dr V B Gaikwad said yesterday. For MCom semester II and IV exam, the Financial Analysis and Control (2,081) and Capital Markets Financial Services (4,081) would now be held on May 31.

The MCA (Commerce) semester I and III, Software Engineering (106) and Financial-Investment Analysis (306) papers were rescheduled on June 8. Similarly for MCom (E-Commerce) semester II and IV, International Business (206) and Business Research and Analysis (406) exams would now be conducted on May 27.
