As they inch closer to the play-off stage, Rajasthan Royals would look to tread carefully against Kings XI Punjab today. Rahul Dravid has helped the side win eight of the 12 games and are placed third in the table, while Punjab with five wins from 11 matches are in contention for acquiring a play-off berth

The six-wicket win over Royal Challengers Bangalore in their last tie should be a boost to the host side. Punjab’s South African import David Miller who  single-handedly won them the match,  would look to repeat his heroics against Rajasthan.
David Hussey who is leading the team in the absence of an under-performing Gilchrist, would be keen to make the most of the home advantage.
Punjab need to win at least four of the remaining five games to seal a play-off berth. Bowling has been the strength for Punjab with Praveen Kumar getting the ball to swing early on. Dravid and Ajinkya Rahane have provided Rajasthan some good starts. All-rounder Shane Watson and Kerala lad Sanju Samson have been the positives for Royals. On the bowling front, pacer James Faulkner, who is the leading wicket taker with 18 scalps, has been effective alongwith Sidharth Trivedi and Stuart Binny. Rajasthan would be keen to win the match  today.
