That’s not all: three top Sena leaders here are also developing three statues of the late party supremo at their own expense.

According to former leader of the House and standing committee chairman Rajendra Singh Bhullar, on November 20 a resolution was passed by UMC administration in a general body meeting to name the VTC ground after Thackeray. A statue will be instated on the first floor of the building. The ground will be decorated. CDs of Thackeray’s speeches, his cartoons and photographs would also be put on display.

Bhullar says he is also erecting a statue near Shahad railway station spending Rs 15 lakh. There are 19 Sena councillors in Ulhasnagar. City Shiv Sena chief Rajendra Chaudhary has sought permission for a Thackeray statue in Shanti Nagar and his colleague Ramesh Chavhan has made a similar request for Kailash Colony.u00a0
