Put on your running shoes and get ready to guzzle beer with Milind Soman as the Beer Bash for the Pinkathon, a practice session for the Pinkathon, takes place this Saturday

The Pinkathon is an all women’s running event to encourage and promote fitness and health among women and create awareness for breast cancer.



The Beer Bash for the Pinkathon is an up to 20 km race to raise awareness about the Pinkathon in November


While the Pinkathon will take place on November 17, the Beer bash for the Pinkathon (Up to 20 km run) will take place earlier as a practice session and to spread awareness about the Pinkathon and encourage women to participate. The Beer bash is open to men and women.

As part of the event, actor Milind Soman will buy beer or milk shake and breakfast for those who cross the finish line and you will get an opportunity to click photographs with him.

The Pinkathon allows you to choose to run for 20 kilometers, 16 kilometers, 12 kilometers, 8 kilometers or 5 kilometers. The final destination is High Spirits, Koregaon Park (expected to reach around 8.15 am to 8.30 am).

Nikhil Shah, one of the organisers, says, “The main idea behind this run is that people should have the habit of running. We will have a car supplying water along the way, but do carry your own bottle.

Even though we will run in a group, look out for vehicles. This is just a fun run to encourage you to run a longer distance race. You are running on public roads at your own risk.” u00a0As there is limited medical help, ensure that you are fit to take part in the race.

Schedule
If you want to do 20 km
Start at High Spirits, Koregaon Park. They start running at 6 am sharp. They will be stopping every 4 km for 5 minutes to allow new runners doing shorter distances, to join in.

For 16 Km
Meet at Koyla Restaurant at 6.30 am sharp.u00a0The runners doing the 20 km will stop here for 5 minutes and start again with the new people joining in.

For 12 Km
Meet at RSI Club at 7 am sharp. The runners doing the 20 km and 16 km will stop here for 5 minutes and start again with the new people joining in.

For 8 Km
Meet at Aurora Towers at 7.30 am sharp. The runners doing 20 km, 16 km, 12 km will stop here for 5 minutes and start again with the new people joining in.

For 5 Km
Meet at Blue Diamond (Taj Vivanta) at 8 am sharp. All the runners doing 20 km, 16 km, 12 km, 8 km will stop here for 5 minutes and start again with the new runners joining in.u00a0
