It has been a good week for Indian rapper Raftaar, who, after tying the knot with 'soul mate' Komal Vohra on Thursday, has been enjoying the success of his latest track, Dhaakad, from Aamir Khan's upcoming wrestler-biopic, Dangal. When hitlist caught up with him, the singer was all praise for the superstar. "He is truly a perfectionist. Although I had recorded the song last year, it had to be dubbed again on three occasions because Aamir wanted minor tweaks. In fact, he also had me meet with the lady who taught him Haryanvi for the film to ensure that my pronunciation was right," says Raftaar, further crediting the actor for "understanding talent so well".

While he is delighted with the response the track has received, Raftaar confesses that Dhaakad isn't the song that will catch on at clubs. "It conveys the message that women have a lot of power. While I enjoy doing party numbers, I am glad that I bagged the chance to sing a song that carries a strong lesson," says Raftaar.

Given that he just got married, will he be off on vacation anytime soon? "I am already back to work and have been recording in the studio of my new home in Delhi. I have signed a three-album deal with Zee Music. It's a great time for me to make a mark. So, I want to immerse myself in work. My wife and I will enjoy a honeymoon later."
