Rajeev, Raja roll on in State Selection Billiards and Snooker Tournament

V 'Raja' Subramanian and Rajeev Sharma registered contrasting wins to qualify for the senior snooker elite round robin stage in the Malabar Hill Club Maharashtra State Selection Billiards and Snooker Tournament yesterday.

While Matunga Gymkhana’s ‘Raja’ rallied to a 2-1 win over Rahul Purecha of Spring Club, Sharma of the host club made the most of familiar conditions to cruise past Arun Barve of PYC (Pune) 2-0.

Joining the duo in the elite round robin were Rohan Sakalkar of PYC (Pune), Mukund Bharadia of Spring Club, Neel Vithlani of the host club and Jigar Shah.
