Ramaa The Saviour - Movie review

RAMAA THE SAVIOUR
U; FANTASY
Dir:u00a0 Haadi Abrar
Cast: Saahil Khan, Tanushree Datta, Khali
Rating: 1/2

WHAT'S IT ABOUT: Kids playing a video game get transported into the world of the game and have an adventure. Yes. That's it. That's what it's about. Believe me, the longer version won't make sense.

WHAT'S HOT: Khali and Taleb (who plays the villain, Vali) deliver sincere performances as do the newbie child actors. Tanushree, (she plays one of Vali's minions who switches sides) has a decent role and ample opportunities to show off her acting(?) skills. She makes little use of that chance.

WHAT'S NOT: While the premise of the film is novel for an Indian flick, this half-baked kahaani leaves a lot to be desired. A desi, toned down, kiddie version of Gamer, where the user controls the characters in the game, this one has few effects and very poor writing and contains several gaping holes in the screenplay. There is no backstory to speak of. The film keeps you yawning throughout, regardless if you are an adult or a kid.

What to do: Seriously avoidable, especially if you are a kid.
