Ranbir Kapoor off to work-cum-holiday trip in Israel for Brahmastra

Ranbir Kapoor and best friend, director Ayan Mukerji, will ring in the New Year in Israel. This is a work-cum-holiday trip as Mukerji is scouting for locations in Jerusalem for their upcoming fantasy adventure, Brahmastra. Says a source, "The two will take off by tomorrow. Though Jerusalem is the top spot for the shoot, the director is also zeroing in on locations along the Israel-Jordan border. The film's recce is crucial, because once the locations are finalised, Mukerji is keen to start shooting immediately."


It is learnt that as Brahmastra requires a heavy dose of special effects. Mukerji is keen to stick to schedules to ensure time for the lengthy post-production to make it in time for its 2019 release." Besides the location hunt, Kapoor will also start training in Kapap, a local hand-to-hand combat martial art form. Adds the source, "He will attend a crash course to familiarise himself with the ancient self-defence technique and also to build endurance levels." Brahmastra features Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt.
