On Monday, Ranbir Kapoor's grand-uncle and veteran actor Shashi Kapoor breathed his last after battling a prolonged kidney issue. His last rites took place on Tuesday with state honours. The entire Kapoor family, including Shashi Kapoor's three children, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir and many others were in attendance. The fourth-day prayer-meet in remembrance of the departed soul will take place on Thursday. After traditionally completing all the rituals and while the family is still mourning the demise, actor Ranbir Kapoor is adhering to the Kapoor ideology- 'The Show Must Go On'.

A source revealed, "Ranbir had a prior work commitment made in Dubai, which he couldn't miss and therefore had to resume work." Now, that's what we call a thorough professional! However, for its first, the 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' actor sported quirky pink velvet attire at the airport.

On the professional front, Ranbir is gearing up for his upcoming film, actor Sanjay Dutt's biopic. Many pictures of Ranbir Kapoor that were leaked from the sets resembled him as a complete doppelganger of Sanjay Dutt. Apart from this, he also has close-friend Ayan Mukerji's fantasy-adventure, 'Brahmastra', which also stars stalwart Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt.
