Mumbai emerged with a lead of six runs to finish Day Three at 415 for eight after a well composed ton by opener Jay Bista (135) and half-centuries each from Siddhesh Lad (82) and skipper Suryakumar Yadav (91) against Madhya Pradesh in their Ranji Trophy Group 'C' match yesterday. Resuming on their overnight score of 130 for one wicket, Lad and Bista added 172 runs for the second wicket partnership. Suryakumar then rescued his side further with a fluent 149-ball knock, but missed out on his 12th ton after Ishwar Pandey crashed his woodwork. For MP, spinners Ankit Sharma and Mihir Hirwani picked up two wickets each.

Delhi on verge of huge win
New Delhi: Keen to make amends for missing out on an outright win in their lung opener against Assam, Delhi's spinners put their best foot forward in taking the team towards a comprehensive innings victory against Railways at the end of the third day of the Ranji Trophy encounter. Having scored 447 in their first innings, Delhi bundled out Railways for 136 in the first innings and the home team fared no better ending the day at 157 for 6 after being followed on.

K'taka stare at victory
Mysuru: Karnataka were staring at an outright win after they restricted Assam to 169 for six when the third day's play of the Group 'A' Ranji Trophy match was stopped due to bad weather. The visitors required 155 runs to avoid an innings defeat with the hosts declaring their innings at 469 for seven. Karnataka added 42 runs to their overnight 427 for six before losing centurion Krishnappa Gowtham. The all-rounder, who was batting on 147, added only two more runs before he was caught and bowled by Arup Das.
