Currently lying sixth with 14 points, Mumbai need to register an outright win from their remaining two games in order to keep their knockout hopes alive.

The 39-time Ranji Trophy champions take on a spirited Madhya Pradesh (20 points) at the Holkar Stadium in Indore in their Group ‘A’ clash  beginning today.

Mumbai will be fancying their chances with Zaheer Khan deciding to play the Ranji tie. The left-arm seamer is expected to open the bowling with Mumbai skipper Ajit Agarkar. Mumbai will miss Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane, who are away on national duty.
