One of Bollywood's most 'mushy' couple, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone brought in the New Year together and also celebrated the latter's birthday in the Maldives. While Ranveer and Dips' parents accompanied the couple to the vacation, it obviously sparked speculations of the duo's engagement. Though, it's still a mystery if the 'Ram-Leela' Jodi has exchanged rings or not. However, we have got an interesting piece of information, which might hint at things being in the pipeline.

According to Spotboye, Ranveer's parents gifted Deepika lavish presents on her birthday i.e. on January 5. A source told the portal, "Deepika was gifted an expensive diamond set and a Sabyasachi sari by Ranveer's family. Her happiness knew no bounds. This was indeed a special occasion for the actress."
Earlier, in one of the chat shows when Ranveer called Deepika a "marriage material", the latter's father, Prakash Padukone said that he has given all the freedom to his darling daughter. "As a father, I have given Deepika the freedom to take her own decisions. Even in this case, she is free to decide whatever she wants to do."
Ranveer Singh also seems to play the perfect boyfriend. Recently, he flew to Bengaluru for the launch of his alleged girlfriend's father, Prakash Padukone's sports academy.
