Cops say the bitch will not be taken to court, photos taken after the crime will speak for her

In what has turned out to be a 'rarest of rare' case in India's legal history, the photographs of the dog who was raped will be produced before the court to speak for her.
The one-and-half-year old bitch will not be produced in court for the hearings.

After the incident, the police had rushed the bitch for medical tests.

They also captured the bruises on her body in photographs immediately. The photographs clearly show the injury marks that will work in the victim's favour.

"The dog will not be taken to court, but her photographs will be presented before the judge as evidence.

The photographs will speak on her behalf," confirmed Ramesh Shankar Gadade, senior police inspector from Tardeo police station.

Investigating officer Harishcahndra Ghadge of the Tardeo police said, "We are waiting for the reports of the man as well as the dog. The force marks on the dog's thighs bear testimony to the crime against her."

Added Gadade, "There is no need to take the bitch to the court, but, if required, we will do that too."

For Humans

In a human rape case, the police first record the victim's statement.

During the trial, the victim is produced in court to identify the accused and  then examined by the public prosecutor and cross-examined by the defence  on the basis of the  statement.
