At the age of 76, Hollywood actor Richard Lynch passed away at his home in Palm Springs

The actor, who became a staple in horror and sci-fiction films with his scarred facial features, had also appeared in a number of television shows like Battlestar Galactica and Galactica 1980. CS brings you some more info on the deceased actor:

>> Lynch knew how to play the flute, piano, guitar and saxophone

>> In 1967, after taking LSD (acid), he set himself on fire. After recuperation, he spoke about it in an anti-drug documentary.

>> In 1982, Lynch won a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as the evil King Cromwell in The Sword and the Sorcerer.

>> Lynch had married twice — once to Beatrix Lynch and later to Lily Lynch, with whom he remained until his death.

>> His last role is in the yet-to-be-released The Lords of Salem, directed by Rob Zombie, for whom the actor played Michael Myers’ principal in the 2007 Halloween reboot.
