Renuka Shahane has a fearless personality and doesn't mince words. The actress will blatantly put her opinion on the important matters and this time it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Padmaavat. The film which was supposed to release on December 1, 2017, got pushed to January 25, 2018, since the film got caught in a political storm and Karni Sena. The Sena group has demanded a ban on the film and is protesting against its release.
However, Renuka took to Facebook and showed the world, the hard-hitting reality and gruesome actions that need to be banned. In the post, there is an image of the right-wing groups protesting with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor's film 'Padmaavat' poster with slogans written, 'Ban Padmaavat'. On which, the senior actress has crossed the poster in deep red and instead posted a picture of herself holding placards, which read, 'Ban Rape', 'Ban Female Foeticide' and 'Ban Sexual Molestation'.
Though the film has been cleared by Supreme Court for release, the protests by the fringe group haven't stopped and the troupe is getting aggressive. For which, the makers of the film, we hear, have approached the Mumbai police for its personnel to be stationed at primary cineplexes across the city.
