Catch Alternative Rock band Hourglass Inversion pay tribute to Metallica at Hard Rock Cafe
Metallica fever seems to be gripping the country. With the band touring India for the first time, Hard Rock Cafe is all geared up to pay tribute to the greatest Metal pioneers.
On the last Thursday of each month, Hard Rock Cafe celebrates Legendary Tribute Nights where they pay tribute to ever-green Rock bands. This week the band Hourglass Inversion will pay tribute to the legendary Metal and Rock band Metallica.
The band members are working professionals by day and express their musical side by night. The band comprises of Yayati Zende (vocals); Amit Khadikar (guitar), Hemant Aligi (bass) and Chetan Sidhwani (drums).
Talking about the band's second performance in the city, Yayati, the lead vocalist, said, "Our performance is going to be a tribute to Metallica. Since it is the first time Metallica is going to come to India we are predominantly going to play Metallica covers. We are also going to be including originals from our CD that we released this April. It includes songs such as Our time is now, Scream and Someday."
The first time the band played in Pune was on the 40th anniversary of Hard Rock Cafe. When we quizzed him about the Metal listeners in the city, he said, "The crowds that comes for our gigs are a mixed lot. We try to offer something for everybody. So, we include Metallica covers for heavy metal lovers and U2 covers for post-punk or alternative rock listeners. We hope to engage the crowd again this year like we did the last time we played at Hard Rock Cafe," he concluded.
