Ribery can make the difference: Blanc
France coach Laurent Blanc has taken the time to praise Franck Ribery in the wake of Les Bleus' 2-0 friendly win over Serbia.
The Bayern Munich winger impressed against Iceland on Sunday and again on Thursday, much to the satisfaction of Blanc. “This is great for Franck.
He is a player who can make the difference,” Blank said. Ribery scored the opening goal early in the first half, minutes before Florent Malouda doubled France’s tally. “You sometimes have to be patient with a player who has so much potential. Is he in form too soon? It’s better to be ready too soon than too late.”
The 46-year-old then went on to discuss the performance of Man City midfielder Samir Nasri: “You are a bit harsh on him. It’s true that he can do better. You all know that he has the potential to do very well, though, and I think he’s moving in the right direction.” France start Euro 2012 with the Group D match against England on June 11.
