Get ready for the double dose of entertainment and laughter with Mubarakan on 23rd December at 8pm on

Sony MAX, the leading Hindi movies channel from Sony Pictures Networks is all set to make your Christmas weekend merrier with the world television premiere of 2017’s romantic comedy, Mubarakan on 23rd December at 8pm. Directed by the king of comedy Anees Bazmee, Mubarakan is the twisted wedding tale of two brothers, Karan and Charan. The multi-starrer movie brings uncle Anil Kapoor and nephew Arjun Kapoor together for the first time ever.

Played by Arjun Kapoor, Karan and Charan are identical twin brothers but their personalities are polar opposites. Karan has grown up in London while Charan has been raised in Punjab. Karan is in love with Sweety (Ileana D’Cruz) while Charan is in a relationship with Nafisa (Neha Sharma). Karan's family fixes Karan's wedding with Binkle (Athiya Shetty), daughter of one of the wealthiest families in London. But soon the confusion begins as Karan convinces his family to fix the match with Charan instead. The respective families are happy with this development except Charan because he wants to marry Nafisa.

"Mubarakan is the fastest film Anees Bazmee has ever made. Within six months we shot the film in London and was ready to release. I play the character of a bachelor uncle, Kartar Singh who is the most lovable character of the family. He is being loved by youngsters as well as elders. It’s a very well written and well-conceived character which I have never done earlier. I have not played a full-fledged Sikh character before so when we started shooting I was very skeptical because lot of established actors have done this before. I am lucky that I got to play a British-Asian Sardar which has not been done in any movie before. I had to work a little bit on the character like dialect and nuances before we started shooting."
