Rizvi Springfield (Bandra) beat Al-Barkaat MMI (Kurla) by three wickets in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association Giles Shield inter-school cricket final at Oval Maidan on Friday.

This is the second successive U-14 title for the Bandra school and seventh in a decade.
Opting to bat first, Al- Barkaat were bowled out for 117 . In reply, riding on a patient 97 from Ajit Yadav, Rizvi posted 225.
Al-Barkaat made a spirited comeback in the second innings, declaring at 286-9, setting Rizvi a competitive target of 180 on the fourth and final day yesterday. The Bandra school achieved the target in 67.3 overs losing seven wickets en route.
“This team has not lost a single tournament this season in the U-14 category. We hope to keep the winning momentum going,” said Rizvi coach Raju Pathak.
