Rock legend wages war on SeaWorld

Tommy Lee has one whale of an idea to get back at Sea World.

The Motley Crue drummer has fired off a second letter to the aquatic theme park, following SeaWorld's denial of accusations they breed their resident Orca whale in a "sick and twisted" way.

"How about PETA and I come to SeaWorld and videotape the process, and then people can decide how natural it is?" Lee demanded in a letter to the park.

"It might make your dramatic news releases about a new orca pregnancy or birth less appealing, but the public deserves to know."

u00a0Lee, first waged war against the theme park last week, when he claimed its main attraction, Tilikum the whale, was being kept in captivity to act as the "chief sperm bank."

"The process of collecting semen for [artificial insemination] doesn't differ in any meaningful way from the techniques employed in managing livestock or other species for zoological display," the SeaWorld rep replied.

Lee says the theme park's explanation "falls flat," given statements he claims PETA has from their former employees.

He cites an article by former SeaWorld scientist John Hall which details the graphic nature animal-care crews can take to breed the massive animals.

u00a0Lee also quoted Linda Simons, SeaWorld's former health and safety director, who confirmedu00a0 that trainers are in the water when masturbating Tilikum.

Tilikum made headlines earlier when he dragged a veteran trainer under water to her death as horrified onlookers watched.
