LILLE (France): Roger Federer will play for Switzerland in the Davis Cup final against France in Lille on Friday.
There had been concerns in the Swiss camp that he would be unable to compete after injuring his back playing in London last weekend.
World No.2 Roger Federer of Switzerland will take on France's 19th-ranked Gael Monfils while teammate and No.4 Stanislas Wawrinka will face 12-ranked Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Davis Cup final, to be played Nov 21-23.
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) Thursday announced the draw for the final that will be staged at the clay surface of the Stade Pierre Mauroy indoor stadium here.
