Filmmaker Rohit Shetty says the copyright of the upcoming third part of the 'Singham' franchise is with him. The filmmaker's statements come after reports that Sunny Deol would feature in the third instalment of the series, which would be backed by another production house, hit headlines.

Shetty says, "All copyrights to make any films as part of the Singham franchise are with us." In a statement, the makers added: "We would like to reiterate that all titles, copyrights and trademarks relating to the Bollywood Singham franchise belong to Reliance Entertainment."
The first two instalments, both of which featured Ajay Devgn, were directed by Shetty.
