Last year's champion Rovin D'Souza, has become the first player to defend the title by winning the final against Mahesh Jagdale in the SPG-Park Club billiards tournament, organised by the Shivaji Park Gymkhana and Park Club.

In the race to 375 points final game, Rovin (handicap -140) played with good steady control to defeat Mahesh (handicap -280) by a big difference of 375-258 points and capture the title for the second straight year.

In the earlier semi-final round games, Rovin managed to defeat Amit Sapru (handicap -190) by a narrow score of 375-364 points and Mahesh easily defeated Arun Agrawal (handicap -825) by score of 375-187 points.
