A wallet of a South Korean national, containing foreign currency worth Rs 2.7 lakh was allegedly snatched by an unidentified man near the CST railway station.


The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, when the victim, 58-year-old Chang hun Ho, was walking on a footpath on DN Road, on his way to the station. He was taking pictures of historical landmarks, along the way.


According to the police, the accused was most likely following the victim and fled with the wallet before he realised. Chang lost $4,500 (Rs 2.7 lakh) and South Korean Won 5,400 (Rs 315), aside from his credit card and an identity card. The victim left the city soon after the incident. Police said there was no CCTV camera to capture the incident.
