Booted out of the United States along with nine other spies in July, Chapman has since turned into an A-list Russian celebrity who has her own weekly TV show and makes regular appearances on the covers of glossy magazines.

In a sign that her glory days are only just starting, the name Chapman was last week registered as a brand by the Russian Agency for Patents and Trademarks, the Komsomolskaya Pravda daily said.

The paper, one of the country's most widely-read dailies said Chapman, 28, intends to use the trademark to manufacture cosmetics, watches, beer, vodka and juices.

Her name will also appear on her own clothing line, the daily report. The Russian trademarks agency was not immediately available for comment.

Since her expulsion, Chapman has become the public face of a little-known investment house called FSB, which is also the name of the country's powerful Federal Security Service that Prime Minister Vladimir Putin once headed.

Last month, she began to host her own weekly TV show that relates mysterious happenings and is called "Secrets of the World with Anna Chapman".

In fact, Chapman's trademark idea appears to have started a new Russian trend.
The gymnast Alina Kabaeva, who now represents the ruling party in parliament, last month applied for the right to trademark a new doll called Alina.

That same month, the daughter of first man to travel in space applied for the right to trademark the name Yury Gagarin.
